As Gospel preacher and evangelist, over many years, Rick has preached several sermons and led teachings at Lake Country Church of Christ (see our Sermon Archives).
Rick is a full-time instructor, College of Biblical Studies at Freed-Hardeman University (Henderson, TN). He was the Director of the Southwest School of Bible Studies (SWSBS) in Austin, Texas from 2001-2017. His teaching duties at SWSBS included courses in New Testament texts, biblical languages, history, and homiletics. He is a 1996 graduate of SWSBS and holds a Ph.D. in Early Church History from Baylor University, as well as holding advanced degrees in physics and engineering.
Rick has served as the local evangelist for several congregations in central Texas and has taught college courses at the McCarty Student Center, Texas State University. He has participated in foreign campaigns in Central America, the Czech Republic, Romania, Jamaica, and Cambodia.
Prior to becoming a Gospel preacher, Rick was a Research Physicist with the USAF High Explosive Research and Development (HERD) Facility, Eglin AFB, Florida. He is very happily married to Lieh, and they have three great kids: Catherine, Philip, and Edmund.
